The Combined Admission Entrance Test (CAET) is the entrance examination for admission to undergraduate study at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi – Abu Dhabi. It assesses Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

The 2026 Session 1 paper lasted three hours. Each of the three subjects carried 20 questions and 80 marks, for a total of 60 questions and 240 marks. Each subject was divided into three sections:

• Section I: eight questions with a single correct option out of four.
• Section II: six questions with a single-digit integer answer (0–9).
• Section III: three passages, each followed by one multiple-choice question and one question with a numerical answer.

Answers were recorded on an OMR sheet. The pattern may change between sessions; candidates should always refer to the instructions issued for their own examination.

In the 2026 Session 1 paper, a correct answer earned four marks. In Section I, an incorrect answer carried a penalty of one mark; in Sections II and III there was no negative marking. Unanswered questions received no marks.

Each paper is available as the original question paper and, where it has been prepared, in a practice format that presents the questions exactly as printed, grouped by subject and section.

Yes. In the practice format, each answer is checked against the answer key and scored according to the marking scheme of that question. A worked solution is provided where available, together with a link to the page of the study notes on which the solution appears.

Progress on each paper is saved in your browser on the device you are using. It is not transferred to other devices and can be cleared at any time from the paper page.

After signing in, open the relevant sub-topic in Study Materials and choose the support option, or select Ask a mentor beneath a question in a previous year paper. Write your question, attach an image or PDF if helpful, and submit it. You can follow its progress under My Support Requests.

A response written by a mentor is reviewed by a supervisor before it is released to you. Responses that are incomplete or inaccurate are returned to the mentor for revision. This review can add a short delay, but it ensures that every answer you receive has been checked.

Live doubt sessions are scheduled online sessions in which a mentor addresses questions raised by candidates on a common topic. If you request a live session, you will receive the date, time and details by email once the session has been approved.

No. Registration is free of charge, and the study notes, previous year papers and mentor support are available to every verified account.
